Sara Lee, Mrs. Cathy, Mrs. Julie and Mrs. Trudy threw Mike and I an engagement party last Saturday and it was beautiful and a blast!

Several of our friends and family gave speeches, but the most memorable was what Mike said about us...He was right, he is my best friend, love of my life, and I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful and loving man in my life!

Crescent City Classic - April 2009

CRESCENT CITY CLASSIC - APRIL 2009

This is (in order) Me, Mike, Brandon and Laura. Yes...believe it or not there are normal people underneath the costumes and wigs. We had such a blast at the Crescent City Classic this year! We pulled a little red wagon stocked with liquor and beer and pretty much walked the race. Next year Mike promised me that he would be superman and I will be superwoman so I am going to hold him to it! I still am unsure of what I think of a man in tights...We did decide that actually running the race is much more fun too!

There are always tons of Easter Bunnies on the route (becaus it is Easter Weekend)!

Mike and I just had our first shower hosted by our wedding party, and it was so much fun!!! We had all of our dear friends, most of the wedding party and our parents attend. The evening was filled with crawfish peeling and eating, a little beer drinking and tons of wonderful presents to start our new life together! We are both so excited for our wedding day and the anticipation grows by the day, so we have already started planning our house buying and budget!
